Mission

French is an official language of over forty countries and is the first or second language of over two hundred million people worldwide. Our program in French strives to connect students at the University of Florida with these people and places, providing them access to the cultural and professional possibilities of today's global reality.

New Study Abroad Programs in French for 2013

These scholarships are given to undergraduate students majoring or double majoring in French and Francophone Studies and attending a UF sponsored study abroad program taught by a French faculty of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures.  A faculty review committee selects awardees based on their academic performance and involvement in the French and Francophone Studies Program. Two scholarships of $500 will be awarded at the LLC annual award ceremony in April.

Application deadline: March 15th

The following items constitute the application:

- Student Name & UFID
- Email address
- Major(s) & Minor(s)
- Overall GPA
- Name of the program
- An accompanying letter in which the candidate explains the reasons why the candidate is applying but also why the particular program.
- Name and contact information of two referees (name and email)

Please send the supporting documents for your application by email before Friday March 15th by 4pm to:blondeau@ufl.edu
