The “Chen Xiangmei Scholarship” is awarded each spring to an outstanding major in the Chinese track of the B.A. in East Asian Languages and Literatures (EAC). It includes a stipend of $1,200. To be eligible, the majoring student must have completed at least the first semester of “Advanced Chinese.” An essay, UF transcript, and two letters of recommendation are also required.  Preference will be given to applicants who are planning careers or graduate studies that strengthen the understanding of China by people of other countries.  For the application deadline and further information, consult the Undergraduate Coordinator of EAC.
